Clue

Clue

I will forever always love this game. I bought it when I was in school last year and played it almost every night with friends and family. I love solving mysteries and this game is all about that. If someone hasn’t played clue yet, make sure you play with a big group of people and to have as much fun as you can.

Star Trek: Into Darkness

Star Trek: Into Darkness

I didn’t think that the second movie could ever be better than the first, but boy, was I wrong. My dad, my boyfriend and myself went to see it a few weeks after it was released in theaters because we wanted to get my dad out of the house and try to get his mind off of his father’s passing, and it definitely did the trick. My dad is a big Trekkie fan and it blew his mind away that they not only did the original series justice, but elevated it to an entirely new level.
The action packed scenes were to die for and the movie was just loud enough from start to finish for me not to be annoyed by other people smacking and making noises.
If anyone wants to be a brilliant movie, then watch this. It won’t disappoint, unless you realllly hate Star Trek.
Also, the actors all came back and no one had to replaced. Just got to love that!

Star Trek

Star Trek

I remember being so fascinated with this movie when it first came out. It was one of the only movies that I was so excited about to see in theaters and I can see why so many people were and still are Trekkies. It has an amazing story line, just enough action, and the actors/characters are unforgettable. They all mesh very well together and it was believable that this is what our future could become someday down the road (just wish that global warming and all that would slow down so that we could have this).

Identity

Identity

I remember watching this movie when I was much younger and how scary it was. I recently watched it with my boyfriend as he hadn’t seen it and realized really how good it was. I’m older now and can appreciate the writing and preparation that go into these types of movies. He couldn’t figure out what what going on or who the killer was and movies that can do that to people are just amazing. I hate movies in which you can just guess the plot. Never any fun.
I also miss horror and thrillers that were much older because they always had a sense of mystery behind them. Movies that have been made nowadays aren’t any good. I have yet to watch a decent scary movie from the past few years.

A Scanner Darkly

A Scanner Darkly

This movie was also one of those days that I was bored, just flipping through the channels to see if anything was on. I found this movie and had never heard of it, but the information on my television had said that Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., and Woody Harrellson – all amazing actors by the way – were in it and I loved them in almost every other movie that they had done that I had seen.
This movie honestly isn’t for everyone. I watched it and never understood what it was about until I read the background information about it online. Found out that it was based on a novel as well during that expedition. I mainly loved it because of the art of Rotoscopy – painting over a film and making it look animated, but really was shot normally first. It’s a confusing movie, but I loved it all the same.

Donnie Darko

Donnie Darko

One day when I was younger, this movie was playing on the movie network, so I decided to sit down and watch it. It was such a different movie that it intrigued me to continue watching. I honestly didn’t think that I would like it as much as I did because of the evil rabbit, but it was fascinating to watch.
For most people, this movie would have been stupid, but not to me <3.

Crazy Stupid Love

Crazy Stupid Love

I laughed so hard during this movie. It has the perfect blend of comedy, drama, and a little bit of everything else mixed into it to make such an amazing movie. I first watched it with my boyfriend at one of the Movie Madness nights that happens on base and I honestly didn’t see the ending coming at all. If you want to watch a chick flick that isn’t a chick flick, then watch this movie. You are sure to get many laughs and the ending is just too perfect!

#23 - Learn a New Language

I’ve always been intrigued by other languages, but never really had the drive to actually want to learn one. After working for almost a month in a job that should really require both, I’ve learned that it would be best to become bilingual. I’m going to try my best to learn enough French to be able to communicate some with the tourists that come through.

#21 – Write a Novel

#21 - Write a Novel

I don’t care if anyone reads it or if it’s ever published, I just want the satisfaction of knowing that I took the time to think of a story and write it all down before I forgot it or gave up on it. I’ve currently been working on a novel for the past three months, but I stopped writing it once my grandfather passed away. I want to get back into it and will in the next couple of week as it was fun to dream big and make something up that hopefully no one has seen before.
I had started writing a novel back when I was in grade 8, but that didn’t get very far. I want to be proud of myself and doing this will be enough for me to be just that.
