#23 – Learn a New Language

#23 - Learn a New Language

I’ve always been intrigued by other languages, but never really had the drive to actually want to learn one. After working for almost a month in a job that should really require both, I’ve learned that it would be best to become bilingual. I’m going to try my best to learn enough French to be able to communicate some with the tourists that come through.

#21 – Write a Novel

#21 - Write a Novel

I don’t care if anyone reads it or if it’s ever published, I just want the satisfaction of knowing that I took the time to think of a story and write it all down before I forgot it or gave up on it. I’ve currently been working on a novel for the past three months, but I stopped writing it once my grandfather passed away. I want to get back into it and will in the next couple of week as it was fun to dream big and make something up that hopefully no one has seen before.
I had started writing a novel back when I was in grade 8, but that didn’t get very far. I want to be proud of myself and doing this will be enough for me to be just that.

#19 – Make Real Friends

#19 - Make Real Friends

I have a hard time making new friends as I am a shy person and I can be very introverted at times, but that’s only because no one ever tries to be friends with me. I’ve tried to make people laugh, which I always do, and make them feel comfortable around me. I literally do everything for everyone else and I get treated like a doormat. Whenever I need help, they are never around, yet when they need it, I’m always there for them like a true friend should be.
I haven’t had any true friends since I was little and, even then, I lost them throughout my life. It’s been a rough life and all I want to do is make new friends who will stick by my side no matter what happens and will actually understand who I am as a person and be able to do things with me that would be beneficial. I want to have someone to share my secrets with and tell them who I truly am, other than my boyfriend. I’m not the type of person who likes to party every weekend, yet so many people are and that’s all anyone does around here. I’d like to keep my liver for my life, not waste it away at a young age.

#18 – Skydiving

#18 - Skydiving

Skydiving has always been one of those things that I’ve always wanted to do, even as a child. I love the beauty of nature and I’ve actually never been in an airplane before, so the two would mix very nicely for me. I’m not afraid of heights, only the possibility of the unknown. This would be a way of helping me get over that fear of not knowing what could happen and I think that it would be an awesome day!
My dad went skydiving when he was younger and wouldn’t jump. He got pushed out of the plane and was terrified. When he hit the ground, the guy who pushed him was right behind him. My dad grabbed a stick and started beating him with it, while he was in the air still,  because of what he had done to him. They laughed so hard after everyone was safely on ground and no one was hurt (except my dad’s dignity, haha).

#17 – Be on a Game Show

#17 - Be on a Gameshow

When I was younger, my parents and I would always watch different game shows together. This tradition still happens today, but I miss how much we used to watch them. I remember every Friday night we would watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and try to beat one another at it. Other nights, we would watch Let’s Make A Deal, The Price Is Right, or The Newlywed Game. Nowadays, I watch Family Feud with my dad almost every night. Steve Harvey is the funniest host I’ve ever seen on that show!

I would love to be able to compete on a game show, especially the ones that I’ve grown up with. Maybe I will someday!

#15 – Meet My Half-Sister

#15 - Meet My Half-Sister

I have a half-sister named Kryselle that I haven’t met before. My brother met her last year and said that she was an amazing person and, even though I was jealous because she is much prettier than I am, I was upset that he did that without telling anyone. I showed my father pictures of his daughter and he told me that he still misses her everyday and regretted not grabbing her from her mother when he could have. It would have been nice to have an older sister who wanted to have something to do with my father, but sadly I’m stuck with two brothers instead.
I realized that we both have my father’s jaw-line and high forehead…
